Privacy Policy

Cool Dive ("the Game") is developed and published by HelioShred Games ("we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the Game uses, who receives it, and how you can control it.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data ourselves. The Game has no accounts, no sign-up and no analytics service of our own. We do not run servers that receive information about you or your games.

The Game stores a few things locally on your device so it works the way you left it:

Your best score
Your sound setting
Whether you have seen the "How to play" guide
How many times the Game has been opened (used only to avoid showing full-screen ads to new players)
Whether you have purchased Remove Ads

This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the Game.

2. Leaderboards

If you are signed in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), the Game submits your best score to the Game's leaderboard and reads your previous best back, so your record survives a reinstall. Your score appears on the leaderboard next to your Game Center or Play Games nickname, where other players can see it.

These services are run by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies. We only see leaderboard scores and nicknames, the same way any player does. You can play without signing in; your best score is then kept on your device only.

3. Advertising

The Game is free and supported by ads provided by Google AdMob, which may use mediation partners, including Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads and AppLovin, to serve ads. Ads appear on the game-over screen: usually a banner, and occasionally a full-screen ad. Full-screen ads are never shown during a run, nor during your first few sessions.

To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID on Android or the IDFA on iOS, where permitted), IP address, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. This data is collected by the ad networks under their own privacy policies; we do not receive it.

Consent. We use Google's consent management platform (a Google-certified CMP that supports the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework) to ask for your choices where the law requires it:

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: when you first open the Game, you are asked whether ad partners may use your data for personalized ads and related purposes. If you decline, you can still play, but the ads you see will be non-personalized or limited.
US states with privacy laws (such as California): you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for targeted advertising at any time.

On iOS, the Game also asks for your permission before allowing ad networks to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). You can decline without affecting your ability to play; you will simply see less personalized ads.

4. In-App Purchase

The Game offers one optional purchase, Remove Ads: a one-time, non-consumable purchase that permanently removes all advertisements. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store payment information.

Because Remove Ads is non-consumable, it can be restored at no cost on any device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account.

5. Sharing Your Score

When you tap Share, the Game opens your device's standard share sheet with a short message about your score and a link to the Game. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app and confirm. We do not receive anything you share.

6. Device Sensors

The Game reads your device's motion sensor (accelerometer) so you can steer by tilting. Sensor readings are used only on your device, in real time, and are never stored or transmitted.

7. Your Choices

Ad consent and "Do Not Sell or Share": you can review or change your ad consent choices from the Game's privacy settings, where these choices apply (such as the EEA, the UK and US states with privacy laws).
Remove ads entirely: the Remove Ads purchase stops all ads in the Game.
Ad tracking (iOS): change your App Tracking Transparency preference in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Ad tracking (Android): opt out of personalized ads or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings.
Leaderboards: sign out of Game Center or Google Play Games to stop submitting scores.
Local data: uninstalling the Game deletes everything it stored on your device.

8. Children's Privacy

The Game is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child's data has been collected through the Game, please contact us and we will help get it removed.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
